Richard  Thompson
Richard Irvin Thompson, of Farmington Hills, went to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, surrounded by loved ones, on Friday morning Jan. 3, 2020.
Dick was born Dec. 13, 1940, in Park City, Kentucky, to the late Irvin and Mary Edith (Philpott) Thompson.
Dick is survived by his loving wife, Rita; his devoted children, Beth (Tony) Nagle, Michael (Jessie), Gregory (Cassandra), Mary (Kel Lewis) Thompson and Heather (Fred) Melnyk; his eight loving grandchildren, Allie, Charlotte, Ross, Maddie, Violet, Levi, Jill and Caleb; and his sister, Lou Ira (Clyde) Salley.
A brief memorial service will be held at Park City United Methodist Church, 67 Mammoth Cave St., Park City, KY 42160, on Thursday, Jan. 9, 2020 at 2:30 p.m. Burial will immediately follow at Evergreen Cemetery, 755 Old Dixie Highway Park City, KY 42160.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to either Dorothy & Peter Brown Adult Day Program, 6720 W. Maple, West Bloomfield Michigan 48322 or to First Baptist Church of Farmington Hills.
