Larry David Johnson
Larry David Johnson, 81, of Scottsville, Kentucky, formerly of Louisville, passed away Monday, March 16, 2020 at NHC Healthcare in Glasgow.
He was born Sept. 29, 1938 in the Meador community of Allen County to the late Lois Johnson and Alma Robinson Johnson. He was a long-time employee of International Harvester Inc. before retiring as a delivery driver from Furrow's Building Materials in Louisville.
He served in the United States Army National Guard and attended First Baptist Church in Bowling Green. He loved working outside, reading, traveling, UK basketball, all things to do with his family.
He is survived by his former wife and loving partner, Linda Johnson, of Bowling Green; one daughter, Lisa Johnson Wyman, and husband Jeff, of Union; one son, John David Johnson, and wife Laura, of Glasgow; three grandchildren, Katelin Wyman and Jacob Wyman, both of Union, and Brian Bailey, and wife Misty, of Richmond, also survive.
With the current recommendations for social distancing, a public celebration of life will be held at a later date. Private funeral services will be held Thursday, March 19, 2020 at Harwood & Strode Funeral Home in Scottsville, with burial to follow in Crescent Hill Cemetery in Scottsville.
