Forrest Lee Devore


Forrest Lee Devore, 80, of Knob Lick, passed away peacefully Wednesday, June 19, 2019 surrounded by his loving family at T.J. Samson Community Hospital in Glasgow.
Born in the Wisdom community, he was the son of the late Paul and Maxine Irwin Devore.
Forrest Lee was a farmer and retired from the United States Postal Service after delivering mail for 50 years. He was a faithful member and deacon of New Liberty Baptist Church.
Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Sunday at Butler Funeral Home in Edmonton with burial in New Liberty Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4 until 8 p.m. Saturday and after 9 a.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Sherry Lee Devore of Knob Lick; one son, Brooke (Lisa) Devore, of Knob Lick; two daughters, Marla (Fred) Young, of Edmonton, and Robyn (Mike) Mantooth, of Columbia; eight grandchildren, Savannah (Joe) Neal, Rachel Young, Audrey Young, Hannah Devore, Gabby Devore, Colt Devore, Olivia Mantooth and Sadie Mantooth; two great-grandchildren, Lilly Jo and Trace Neal. He is also survived by one brother and two sisters, Charles Page, of Knob Lick, Phala Sue Blaydes, of Greensburg, and Paula Devore, of Seymour, Tennessee.
