Eldon Clay Kinslow
Born Feb. 28, 1937 to Alma Mary Moran Kinslow and William Garland Kinslow, who preceded him in death; along with his brother, Hezzie Leroyce Kinslow; sisters, Kathryn Kinslow Witcher and Bernice Kinslow Williams.
He is survived by his wife of 16 years, Wanda Kinslow; his siblings: Emery Kinslow, Glasgow, Etta Jane Kinslow Garrett (Royce), Glasgow, and Lemuel Kinslow (Linda), Mount Juliet, Tennessee.
Even though Eldon did not have any birth children, he was like a dad to Jo Parrish Fox and Darrick Kinslow, as well a fun-loving prankster; uncle to all his nieces, nephews, great-nieces, nephews and great-great nieces and nephews, all of which he loved dearly and was dearly loved by all.
If one word summed Eldon's life it would be "service." He served as a faithful son, loyal brother, loving uncle, member of Dover Baptist Church Haywood since 1952, Kentucky National Guard 37 years, Masonic Lodge 60 years, Haywood Volunteer Firefighter 20 years, retiree of Barren County Road Department. Eldon exemplified love in service to Savior, family, friends and country. Whether you called him Eldon, Eldie or just friend, you knew you had a friend, especially if he pulled a prank on you.
The community is invited to a celebration of Eldon's life Saturday, Feb. 9, 2019. Visitation from 9 a.m., service at 11 a.m. at Glasgow Baptist Church, South Green Street, Glasgow.
