Rickey Wallace Meredith, 58, of Glasgow, went home to be with his heavenly Father on Wednesday, April 26, 2017, at Vanderbilt Hospital in Nashville, surrounded by his family.
Born in Glasgow, he was the son of the late Oscar H. and Delpha Shaw Meredith.
Rickey was saved at the age of 11; a member of Immanuel Baptist Church, the Villages, Florida and attended Southside Baptist Church in Glasgow. He was a master builder with a tremendous talent for home building and was an avid golfer.
He is survived by his wife, Sue; his stepchildren, Ben (Tanya) Morgan and Amia Martin, of Paducah whom he loved and raised as his own; Liz (Brent) Crawford and Jen (Rodger) Merkel, of Ohio; grandchildren: Ali, Hunter, Matthew, Aaliyah, Adam, Sara, Anna and Katie; his brother, Hollis (Marian) Meredith; and sisters, Margaret (Carol) Jennings and Brenda (Sonny) Campbell, of Glasgow; two nieces, Marsha Dearing and Ashley Runyon; four nephews, Norman, Kelly and Aaron Meredith and Craig Jennings.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a niece, Shauna Campbell.
Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Tuesday, May 2, at A.F. Crow & Son Funeral Home, with burial in Happy Valley Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be Monday from 4 until 8 p.m. and Tuesday morning until time for the service.
