Mary Louise's Story
Mary Louise "Granny" Hatcher, 98, of Horse Cave, passed away Friday, Dec. 2, 2016, at Signature Health Care in Horse Cave.
She was born in Monmouth, Illinois, was a member of Cedar Cliff Baptist Church and loved to quilt, crochet and cook.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Ernest Hatcher; her parents, Frank Riggs and Minnie Sturgeon; an infant son, Leron Douglas Hatcher; one elder son, Garmon Hatcher; one brother, Clyde Riggs; and one sister, Lillian Martin.
Survivors include four children, Linda Poynter, Gail Coats (Doug), Dwayne Hatcher (Pat), and Melisa Hatcher; one daughter-in-law, Sue Hatcher; a special sister-in-law, Marie Middleton; 11 grandchildren; three step-grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; a special friend of the family, Shari Perry; and several nieces, nephews; and a host of friends.
Visitation will be on Sunday, Dec. 4, 2016, from noon to 8 p.m., and Monday from 9 a.m. until service time, in the chapel of Winn Funeral Home. Funeral services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Monday, Dec. 5, in the chapel of Winn Funeral Home, with burial to follow in Cave City Cemetery.
