Joan Marie Hopper, 82, died quietly at her home in Bowling Green on Tuesday, Feb. 28, 2017.
She was predeceased by her parents, Bessie and O.D. Hopper.
She is survived by a sister, Gail Evans, of Danville; two nieces and their families, Heather Agosto and Kerry Dillon; cousins and many friends.
Joan was trained as a medical technologist at Transylvania University in Lexington, and specialized in microbiology at both the Lexington Clinic and T.J. Samson Community Hospital in Glasgow. She also owned Siddens Country Ham Store in Bowling Green for several years.
A reception for family and friends will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, March 11, at the studio of Karen Genter, 128 HE Johnson Road in Bowling Green. Donations may be made to Hospice of Southern Kentucky, 5872 Scottsville Road in Bowling Green, 42104.
J.C. Kirby & Son Broadway Chapel is entrusted with the arrangements.
