David Lee Foley, 72, of McDaniels, died Saturday, March 1, 2017.
He was born in Tompkinsville on Sept. 6, 1944, the son the late Amos David Foley and Gaynell Gee.
He retired from General Electric and was a park attendant for the Army Corps of Engineers. David was a member of Faith Praise and Worship Center, a Vietnam Army veteran and enjoyed watching wrestling, boxing and U of L basketball.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Gwendolyn on Jan. 7, 2017; his son, Joseph David Foley; two sisters, Barbara Ford and Norma Jean Netherton; niece, Teresa; nephew, Adam; and great-nephew, Austin.
Survivors include three children, Tammy Hembree (Casey), of McDaniels, Stacey Goben, of Leitchfield, and Joshua Foley (April), of Shepherdsville; two sisters, Alice Chastain (Pat), of Bloomington, Ind., and Tammy Wells, of Smiths Grove; six grandchildren: Brittney Wright, Rachael, Chelsie and Nicolas Johnston and Alyssa and Alexis Foley; and five great-grandchildren.
Visitation will begin at 3 p.m. Thursday, April 6, 2017, with funeral services at 7 p.m. at Trent-Dowell Funeral Home in Hardinsburg. Cremation will follow.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to Wounded Warriors.
