Cass Thomas's Story
Cass Thomas (Tommy) Froedge, 78, of Tompkinsville, passed away Saturday, Feb. 25, 2017, while in the company of family members, at his residence in Tompkinsville.
Cass Thomas was born in Monroe County, on June 7, 1938, son of the late Nina (Kidwell) and Oval Froedge. He married Gail Bryant on Oct. 16, 1960, at Moss, Tenn. He was a retired station operator for Texas Eastern.
Cass is survived by his wife of 56 years, Gail (Bryant) Froedge, of Tompkinsville; daughter, Patricia Ann Tilghman and husband Gary, of Glasgow; son, Brian Froedge and companion, Sandy Guffey, of Tompkinsville; sister, Virginia Maxine, wife of Darrell Branstetter, of Anchorage, Ky.; and brother, Hugh Tim, husband of Toni Froedge, of Aiken, S.C.; four grandchildren, Lindsey Jones, Carrie Derossett, Bridgett Crowe and Hayden Froedge; and five great-grandchildren: Clayton, Braylin and Kennsington Jones, Tillman Derossett and Addilyn Crowe.
Funeral service at Yokley Trible Funeral Home, Tompkinsville, will be 1 p.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 28, with Tim McHenry officiating. Interment at Monroe County Memorial Lawn. Visitation, Monday 4 to 8 p.m. and Tuesday 6 a.m. until service time at the funeral home.
