Bradley Eugene Ragan Jr., 70, of Mocksville passed away Sunday, Jan. 1, 2017 doing what he loved out with his dogs at the hunting camp.
He was born Oct. 1, 1946 in Salisbury, the son of the late Yvonne Fallaw Ragan and Bradley E. Ragan Sr. He graduated from Sewanee Military Academy in Tennessee in 1965 and graduated from University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill with a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration in 1969.
He was owner/operator of Carolina Tire, took over for his father at Brad Ragan Inc. in 1979 as chairman and CEO and was owner of Brad Ragan Retreading in Glasgow, KY and RDH Tire in Cleveland, N.C.
He enjoyed golfing, hunting, fishing, reading and tires. Brad was a member of Arnold Palmers Bayhill Club and Lodge in Orlando, Fla. He enjoyed spending time with his family and grandchildren. Brad was a member of Ducks Unlimited, NRA and the USGA of America. He enjoyed his three dogs Cinco, Banks and Gwen.
Those left to cherish his memories are his daughter, Erin Kathleen Ragan Becker (Gareth) and their son, Percy Martyn Ragan Becker, of London, UK; son, Bradley James Ragan and his daughter, Lillian Carleen Ragan, of Sherrills Ford; and son, Scott Elder Ragan (Alyssa Lynn) and their daughters, Elsie Hayes Ragan and Addison Louise Ragan, of Mooresville.
Visitation: 4-6 p.m., Sunday, Jan. 8, at Summersett Funeral Home.
Service: 11 a.m. Monday, Jan. 9, at Summersett Memorial Chapel.
Following the service, there will be a reception celebrating Brad's life at son Scott and Alyssa Ragan's home.
