Bernice L. Thomas, 87, of Bowling Green, passed away Saturday, Jan. 7, 2017, at The Medical Center at Bowling Green.
She was born in Indianapolis, Indiana on Nov. 30, 1929, to the late George Lawson and the late Beulah Hedgepeth Lawson. She was a former customer service agent for K-mart and was of the Baptist faith. She was married to the late Hugh A. Thomas.
She is survived by two daughters, Janet Jones (Dale), of Alvaton, and Kathy Humphrey (Kevin), of Jonesboro, Ark.; one son, Randy Thomas (Sarah), Deltona, Fla.; grandchildren, April Cosby (Michael), Alvaton, Jon Jones (Ashley), Rockfield, Sarah Rickert (Craig), Jonesboro, Ark., John Kevin Humphrey (Charity), Kansas City, Mo., Ryan Thomas, Orlando, Fla., Justin Thomas (Amanda), Atlanta, Ga.; 12 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews also survive.
The family will receive friends 3 until 8 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 11 and 9 until 10 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 12, at J.C. Kirby and Son, Lovers Lane Chapel. Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery.
