Anita Mae Adams, 97, of Glasgow died Saturday, May 27, 2017 at her residence.
Born in Owens Chapel, Tenn., she was the daughter of the late Madden John Allan and Mary Catherine Hayes Adams. Ms. Adams was a member of First United Methodist Church and was a Registered Nurse and nursing Instructor at the former Glasgow School for Health Occupations.
Survivors include three nieces, Anita Carol Owens (Steve) of Cedar Hill, Tenn., Jackie Adams (Buddy Sneed) and Dana Jennings, both of Springfield, Tenn.; a nephew, Jamie Adams of Portland, Tenn.; a sister-in-law, Dorothy Janet Adams of Orlinda, Tenn.; several great nieces and nephews; and a special friend and caregiver, Kathy Murray (Maxie) of Glasgow.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Harold Thomas "Jack" Adams and James Allan Adams Sr., and a lifelong best friend, Annette St. Charles.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday, May 31, 2017 at A.F. Crow & Son Funeral Home with burial in Orlinda Methodist Church Cemetery in Orlinda, Tenn. at 2 p.m. Wednesday. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until time for the service Wednesday at the funeral home.
Alternate expressions of sympathy may take the form of memorial contributions to the Orlinda Methodist Church Cemetery @ 8006 Hwy. 49 East, Springfield, TN 37172.
