Amy Jewell Cyphers Adams, 92, of Summer Shade died Tuesday, May 2, 2017 at NHC in Glasgow.
Born Sept. 21, 1924, in Burkesville, she was a daughter of the late George Tracy and Vestie Colson Cyphers and the widow of the late Billie Adams, who died Sept. 6, 1997.
She retired from Eli Lilly in Indianapolis and was a member of Cyclone Church of Christ.
Survivors, include one daughter, Pam (Ronnie) Ferguson, of Red Boiling Springs, Tenn.; one son, Mike (Debbie) Adams, on Lenoir City, Tenn.; three grandsons, Christopher Michael and Stephan Ryan, both of Knoxville, Tenn., and Billy Ralph Ferguson, Red Boiling Springs, Tenn.; and five great-grandchildren, Chandler Seth Reece and Haley, Nicholas, Hunter and Hayden Adams.
She was preceded in death by one granddaughter, Amy Dean Ferguson; two brothers, Bill and Barlow Cyphers; three sisters, Ruby Smith, Magdeline Wright and Ida Belle Simpson; and one half brother, Kelly Cyphers.
Funeral services will be Friday, May 5, 2017 at 1 p.m. at McMurtrey Funeral Home, with Brother Larry Hafley officiating. Burial will follow in Scott Cemetery in Cumberland County. Visitation will be Friday, May 5, 2017 from 11 a.m.-1 p.m., time of the service.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Scott Cemetery.
