Willowdean's Story

Jean Scoggins, 87, of Louisville, formerly of Hays, passed peacefully at home, after a lengthy illness.
She was a retired employee of Louisville Blueprint Company, a member of the V.F.W. Ladies Auxiliary No. 6182 and a member of Walnut Street Baptist Church.
In addition to her parents, Ernest and Ruby Vaughn Greer, she was preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, Curtis Scoggins; and locally, one great-grandchild, Carter Hiser.
Left to cherish her memory are her son, Donnie Scoggins (Beverly), of Park City; daughters, Joyce Evans (Jim), of Columbia, and Linda Terry, of North Carolina; local grandchildren, Karen Button (Danny), Kathy Short (Greg), Shann Scoggins (Sherry), Randy Scoggins (Kelly), Lillian Houchin (Jay), Jodie Janes (Anthony) and Jackie McCloud (Brent); 24 great-grandchildren; and 12 great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be 2 until 8 p.m. Sunday, April 30, at Arch L. Heady & Son, 3601 Taylor Blvd., Louisville. Funeral service will be noon until 1 p.m. Monday, May 1, at the funeral home. Committal service will be 1 to 2 p.m. Monday at Louisville Memorial Gardens West, 4400 Dixie Highway, Louisville.
