William Donald Sexton, 69, of Glasgow, died Tuesday, Dec. 19, 2017, at the VA Medical Center at Murfreesboro, Tennessee.
He was born in Metcalfe County, the son of the late John Willis Sexton and the late Dessie Poynter Sexton.
He retired from R.R. Donnelley after 37½ years. He was a Vietnam veteran serving with the U.S. Army and attended Landmark Baptist Church in Smiths Grove.
Survivors include his wife of more than 47 years, Vonnie Hurt Sexton, of Glasgow; daughter, Angie Parsons (Gary), of Glasgow; son, Billy Sexton (Deanna), of Glasgow; three grandchildren, Breanna Sexton, Tyler Sexton and Jenna Dold, all of Glasgow; sister, Dorothy Stiltz, of Edmonton; Paul Sexton, of Mayfield; two grand-dogs, Sprocket and Harriet. Several nieces and nephews also survive.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Edward Milton and Sam Sexton.
Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Friday, Dec. 22, 2017 at A.F. Crow & Son Funeral Home with burial in Glasgow Municipal Cemetery. Military honors provided by DAV Chapter No. 20 of Glasgow. Visitation will be after 3 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
