Perry Wayne Groce, 59, of Frankfort, passed away suddenly, Thursday, May 18, 2017, at his residence.
He was the son of the late Preston Groce and Anna Pearl Witcher Groce.
He was a retired stockroom manager for Kmart and proud grandpa. He was an avid collector and loved coins and ball cards. He also loved gardening and loved watching NASCAR. He was a member of Hillcrest Baptist Church in Frankfort.
He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Wilma Jo Crump Groce, of Frankfort; son, Carl Wayne Groce (Bonnie Breidert), of Frankfort; four grandchildren, Lilly, Ryley, Avery and Preston; sister, Anna Groce, of Cave City; aunt, Jewell Lindsey, of Glasgow; and uncle, Edgar Witcher (Nancy), of Smiths Grove. Several in-laws, cousins, nieces and nephews also survive.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Amanda Groce; two brothers, John Groce and Thomas Groce; one sister, Jeanette Johnson; maternal grandparents, Ed and Stella Witcher; and paternal grandparents, Samson and Edna Groce.
The Groce family chose cremation, a memorial service will be 1 p.m. Thursday, May 25, 2017, at Shiloh General Baptist Church. Visitation will be on Thursday at the church, from 10 a.m. until time for services at 1 p.m.
