Paula Jo Basham Harper Rust, 64, of Bowling Green, died peacefully at her residence on Sunday, surrounded by her loving family.
She was born in Bowling Green, to the late Joe Basham and Pauletta June Elmore Basham, who survives. She is also preceded in death by her sister, Pamela Jean Stiles.
She was a beautician for 50 years and retired from Wilma & Nita's Beauty Shop. A member of the Faith United Methodist Church. She was a graduate of Bowling Green High School Class of 1971. Paula loved to ride motorcycles and ride to eat and eat to ride.
She is survived by her husband, Buster Rust; son, Barry Joe Moore (Jamie), of Russellville; stepdaughter, Melinda Graves (Tommy), of Franklin; mother, Pauletta June Basham; brother, Norman Basham (Anna), of Bowling Green; grandchildren, Shelby, Riley, Huntley and Roxy; and several nephews, nieces, stepnieces. and great-nieces and great-nephews.
Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. Thursday and after 9 a.m. Friday at J.C. Kirby and Son Broadway Chapel. Funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Friday at J.C. Kirby and Son Broadway Chapel, with burial to follow in Fairview Cemetery. Expressions of sympathy may be made in Paula's memory to the American Cancer Association.
