Mary Woodson Rapier
December 27, 1932 - December 15, 2020
On Tuesday, December 15, 2020 Mary Woodson Rapier, loving mother, and grandmother passed away at the age of 87.
Mary was born on December 27, 1932 in Glasgow, KY to William and Mary (Elizabeth) (Wilson) Woodson. She attended Glasgow and Park City High Schools, graduating in 1950. She grew up one of nine children and loved to tell stories of her early days with her brothers and sisters.
Mary had a passion for sports, especially University of Kentucky and Purdue University basketball. But her true passion was her children who loved her immensely. Mary loved to engage in conversation with friends and family and was an avid reader. She had the ability to smile and comfort those around her at the most difficult of times.
Mary was proceeded in death by her parents and three of her siblings, Art Woodson, David Woodson and Jane Hoyt.
She is survived by her children, Rob Woodson, Mike Conder (Stephanie), Annette Rapier, David Rapier (Debbie), Mike Rapier (Cindy) and Amy Mathis (Andy). Mary is survived by 10 grandchildren, Lindsey, Matthew, Nick, Chloe, Natalie, Hayden, Aaron, Annabelle, Keaton, and Ryland and her siblings Ralph Woodson (Alma), Billy Woodson (Linda), Urey Woodson, George Woodson (Rita), Sara Beth Luttrell (Bill) and numerous nieces and nephews.
Due to COVID-19, there will be a small service in Arizona and another in Kentucky at later dates. Memorial contributions can be made to the American Heart/Stroke Association by calling 1-800-242-8721 or by going online at www2.heart.org.

Plant a tree: How does it work
When your purchase is complete, a post will be made on the tribute wall of the deceased signifying the planting of a memorial tree.
An official certificate recognizing your purchase will be included with your email receipt. You can then forward the email to the family or print it and give it to them personally.
After an order is placed, our forestry partners will plant the tree in the area of greatest need (nearest the funeral home), according to the planting schedule for the year.
Due to seasonal conditions, the tree planting takes place during the spring and summer.

Orders placed in:
January - May
Planting will take place in Spring or Summer of the same year.
June - December
Planting will take place in Spring of the following year.
