Louisa Jeanne Bewley, loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother passed away peacefully at her home in Coconut Creek, Florida on Sept. 6, 2017 at the age of 88, surrounded by love.
Formerly of Glasgow, Kentucky and Ocala, Florida, Jeanne leaves behind a loving and devoted family, her four children; daughter, Sarah (Pat) Bewley of Gainseville, Fla.; son, Leighton (Cathy) Bewley, of Coconut Creek, Fla.; daughter, Nancy (Kevin) Ormsby, of Oklahoma City, Okla., son, James (Karla) Bewley of Cocoa Beach, Fla.; granddaughter, Dr. Erika (Todd) Morris, of Knoxville, Tenn.; granddaughters, Katherine Bewley and Anne Bewley, of West Palm Beach, Fla.; and grandson, Michael Bewley, of West Palm Beach, Fla. Also left to treasure her memory are her three great-grandchildren: Harper, Leighton and Oliver Morris, of Knoxville, Tenn.
Jeanne graduated from Blue Mountain College in Blue Mountain, Mississippi and enjoyed a successful teaching career and was beloved by her many students. She was a published author of "The Wispy Woodle Tales," a story she had written for her granddaughter Erika when she was a child and later published. She was a friend to all animals and supported many rescue organizations and shelters throughout her life. Jeanne and her family were very proud of the fact that she was a Kentucky Colonel. She was a loving and selfless mother, grandmother and great-grandmother and will be greatly missed by her adoring family.
