Mrs. Loretta Young Mountjoy, 70, wife of George Mountjoy, passed away on Tuesday, Aug. 8, 2017.
She was born on Sept. 15, 1946, in Glasgow, to the late M.T. and Hazel Stone Young.
She graduated from the University of Kentucky in 1970 with a BS Degree in Agriculture. She helped the Kentucky Department of Fish and Wildlife with their Hunter's Education Program which her husband George taught for many years. She also worked as a program director for Union Church in Berea where she was a member.
In addition to her husband of 46 years, George Mountjoy; she is survived by her daughter, Brandy Anderson (Chris); one grandson, Justin Anderson; as well as a host of other family and friends.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday, in the Cowan Chapel at Union Church, 200 Prospect St., Berea, with the Rev. Kent Gilbert, the Rev. Rachel Small Stokes and Sis. Grace Stone officiating. Burial will follow in Madison County Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. Friday, at Union Church.
The Combs, Parsons & Collins Funeral Home, Richmond, is in charge of the arrangements.
