Herbert's Story

Herbert Reed, 89, of Park City, died Friday, Aug. 25, 2017, at The Medical Center in Bowling Green.
He was the son of the late John Will Reed and Nettie Mae Knight Reed.
Mr. Reed had been a pressman at Handmacher and more recently an employee of the Kentucky State Highway Dept. He was a veteran, serving in the U.S. Navy and was a member and deacon of Rolling Hills Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Hallie Bellamy Reed; four sons, Dennis Reed (Karen), Danny Reed (Shirley), Donnie Reed and Timmy Reed (Rita); four grandchildren, Tiffany Wyatt (Joseph), Jeffery Reed (Melanie), Simon Reed (Lia) and Amy Willman; seven great-grandchildren: Hannah, Jarrett and Hailey Wyatt, Riley and Ross Reed, and Noah and McCazie Willman; three step-grandchildren, Tiffany Francis, Amy Hoschak and Jeni Vetch; two step-great-grandchildren, Seth and Xander Vetch. Several nieces, nephews and cousins also survive.
He was preceded in death by 14 siblings.
Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 30 at A.F. Crow & Son Funeral Home with burial in Shiloh Cemetery. Visitation will be Tuesday from 1 until 8 p.m. and Wednesday morning until time for the service.
