Donald Novosel, 90, passed away peacefully at his home surrounded by his family on Saturday, Feb. 3, 2018.
He was born March 11, 1927, in Cleveland, Ohio to Joe and Ann Novosel.
He was a graduate of Collinwood High School and proudly served in the United States Coast Guard during World War II.
On July 19, 1958, Don married Sandra Szabo. He worked as a tool designer for Eaton Corporation in the Axle Division, first in Cleveland and later in Glasgow. Don devoted his life to his family and helping others, and enjoyed sailing on Barren River Lake and travel.
He was preceded in death by his brother, Elmer Novosel.
He is survived by his wife, Sandra; daughter, Della (Christopher) Novosel Oberst; son, Eric (Darla) Novosel; and grandchildren, Sarah (Aaron) Oberst Gibbons, Matthew Oberst and Sasha Novosel.
A funeral Mass will be held at Church of the Annunciation in Shelbyville, Kentucky on Saturday, Feb. 10 at 1 p.m. with a luncheon to follow at the church's community center.
