Bobby Junior's Story

Bobby Junior Bennett "Pops," 63, of Bowling Green, passed away Sunday, July 30, 2017, at Vanderbilt University Medical Center.
He was born in Canmer, on Sept. 21, 1953, to the late Luther Gilbert Bennett and the late Iva Marie Harlow.
He was a salesman for Southern States and attended Rock Spring Baptist Church. He was an avid fisherman, loved hunting and gardening, and his dog, Maggie Mae.
He is survived by one son, Jason Bennett (Donna), Bowling Green; one daughter, Tonya Bennett, Bowling Green; one sister, Beverly King (George); four grandchildren, Amber, McKenzie, Sierra and Emerson; several nieces and nephews also survive.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Billy Bennett.
Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 3 at J.C. Kirby and Son, Broadway Chapel. Visitation will be Wednesday, 3 until 8 p.m. and Thursday, 9 a.m. until time for services at the funeral home. Burial will be in Cosby cemetery in Hart County.
