Bill Baker Bragg
January 28, 1941 - September 19, 2019
William [Bill] Baker Bragg, 78, formerly of Knob Lick, passed away Thursday, Sept. 19, 2019 at Glasgow State Nursing Facility.
Born Jan. 28, 1941 in Edmonton, he was a son of the late Leon and Minnie Avel Parrigin Bragg. He was the husband of the late Martha Bragg, who passed away March 22, 2014.
He was a farmer and of the Church of Christ faith.
Survivors include one daughter, Velvet (Riley) Philpott, Glasgow; three sons, Delton Bragg, Summer Shade, Jonathan (Sarah) Bragg, Mount Juliet, Tennessee, and Jeffrey (Susan) Turner, Fountain Run; five grandchildren, William Philpott Jr., Olivia Bragg, Tambra Buckley, Nicole Wade, and Meagan Turner; five great-grandchildren; and two step-great-grandchildren.
Preceding him in death, besides his wife and parents, include five sisters, Lizzie, Frances, Flossie, Lois and Rebecca; and three brothers Wayne, Roy and Wilbert.
Funeral services will be Monday, Sept. 23, 2019 at 1 p.m. at McMurtrey Funeral Home, with Brother Gary Richardson officiating. Burial will follow in Pleasant Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be Sunday, Sept. 22, 2019, 1-9 p.m. and on Monday, Sept. 23, 2019 after 7 a.m. until time of services at 1 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Pleasant Hill Cemetery.

Plant a tree: How does it work
When your purchase is complete, a post will be made on the tribute wall of the deceased signifying the planting of a memorial tree.
An official certificate recognizing your purchase will be included with your email receipt. You can then forward the email to the family or print it and give it to them personally.
After an order is placed, our forestry partners will plant the tree in the area of greatest need (nearest the funeral home), according to the planting schedule for the year.
Due to seasonal conditions, the tree planting takes place during the spring and summer.
